Fourth of July is a couple days away and you’ve completely nailed it this year. The flag is up, the grill is clean and primed for some juicy burgers, and the loudest, most obnoxious fireworks in the neighborhood are ready to go, right in your backyard. You’re tucking sparklers into napkin rings when it suddenly dawns on you- you don’t have a centerpiece at the table. In fact, you don’t have any decorations at all!

Patriotic Flag Jar

Flag Bow

Supplies:

  • 1 Mason Jar
  • Decorative Rocks
  • Mini American Flag
  • Choice of Ribbon
  • Flameless Candle
  • Super Glue
  • Scissors

Step 1.) Open up Mason jar and set aside lid

Step 2.) Using either scissors or fingers, cut or gently tear flag from its holder

Step 3.) Tuck flag into jar

Step 4.) Pour colored rocks carefully into jar (fill jar to about 1 inch)

Step 5.) Use scissors to cut more than enough ribbon to wrap around top of the jar

Step 6.) Glue ends of ribbon together

Step 7.) Turn flameless candle on and drop it into the jar

Burlap and Bow Jar

Supplies:

  • 1 Mason Jar
  • 1 Yard of Burlap
  • Choice of Bow
  • Super Glue
  • Scissors
  • Decorative Flowers

Step 1.) Wrap burlap around jar, cut accordingly

Step 2.) Measure ribbon to match length of burlap, cut accordingly

Step 3.) Center ribbon on top of burlap and glue

Step 4.) Glue burlap and ribbon around jar

Step 5.) Glue bow to burlap and ribbon

Step 6.) Place flowers inside jar and arrange

Sparkler Bottom Jar

Sparkler Jar

Supplies:

  • 1 Mason Jar
  • 1 Bottle of Blue Spray Paint
  • Choice of Glitter
  • Modge Podge
  • Festive Ribbon
  • Paper Plate
  • Paint Brush/Sponge Brush
  • Decorative Flowers

Step 1.) Spray paint entire jar and let it sit until dry (best to do this outside)

Step 2.) Use brush to spread Modge Podge to lower half of the jar

Step 3.) Over a plate, lightly pour glitter onto Modge Podge areas (use extra glitter that has fallen onto plate)

Step 4.) Let the jar dry

Step 5.) Place flowers inside jar
