Who knew that you could create brilliant patterned Easter eggs without all the work? We are here to show you how to get glamorous eggs without the hassle. These tie dyed eggs are actual TIE died eggs. Check it out:
What you’ll need:
- 4-6 eggs
- Several Silk Ties
- Plain Cloths
- Rubber Bands
- Water
- Stainless Steel Pot
- 3 Tbsp. White Vinegar
Step 1:
Cut ties so they’re large enough to fit around eggs. Get rid of the tie backing and any tags.
Step 2:
Cut the plain cloths the same way.
Step 3:
- Wrap the tie around the egg
- Wrap the cloth around tie and egg
- Then wrap a rubber band around the whole thing
Step 4:
Put all eggs into a stainless steel pot, and fill with water and vinegar, enough to cover eggs. Let boil, then bring temperature down to simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 5:
Take them out of the pan and let them cool thoroughly. Unwrap, and marvel at your gorgeous silk eggs!
Now that you have completed your tie dyed eggs it’s time to show them off to the world. You can create a centerpiece, or use them in an Easter basket. Unfortunately, it’s not safe to eat the eggs because of chemicals from the way the tie is manufactured and/or from dry cleaning. But aren’t they divine on the eye!
